Intrinsic Critical Power (CP), Power Profile (PP) and Functional Threshold Power (FTP) analyses
The concept of "Critical Power" (CP) by Monod & Scherrer (1965) describes the maximum affordable performance in reference to any free chosen exercise duration. Functional Threshold Power (FTP) is the highest mean average power or pace you can maintain for one hour and can be easily determined when a valid Critical Power curve is available for an individual. However, up to now, Critical Power-curves could only generated with extensive and multiple exercise tests. Ergonizer Software provides a much easier and exact method to create Critical-Power curves from simple exercise testing procedures. With CP-curves, you are able to freely estimate, what performance for, e.g., 10 minutes can be realized maximally. Such information is helpful to plan high-intensive interval training (HIT) or to analyze the specific performance development. Best of all: Only one single exercise test procedure is needed.
